SAGE listens to conversations, so the first thing worth saying is what happens to what it hears.
Last updated 30 August 2026
SAGE does not store your audio, your transcripts, or the answers it gives you. Audio is transcribed and answered as it happens and is not written to any server we run. The only record of a session that survives it is a count of minutes used, kept so your balance is right.
This page describes what SAGE collects, why, and who else is involved. It covers the SAGE desktop application and this website. SAGE is run by Mytresh Ravi; questions go to mytresh1984@outlook.com.
What is collected
If you only use the free trial
Nothing that identifies you. The trial is limited to one per computer, and that is enforced with an identifier derived from your hardware and then hashed — a fixed-length string that cannot be turned back into a serial number, and which is not linked to a name or an address, because at that point we do not have one.
Against that identifier we keep how many minutes of listening time have been used.
If you create an account
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | It is how an account is found and how your hours follow you between computers. Sign-in codes and receipts are sent to it. |
| Hours bought and used | So the balance shown to you is correct. |
| Purchase history | Date, amount and hours for each top-up, shown to you as receipts. |
| The computer signed in | The hashed device identifier above, so hours can only be spent on one machine at a time. |
Accounts are stored under a hash of the email address rather than the address itself, so the store holds no readable list of who uses SAGE. The address is kept inside the record so support can answer you, but you have to know an address to find its record.
If you sign in with Google
SAGE asks Google for two things only: confirmation of who you are, and your email address. It does not request, receive or store access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, calendar or anything else. Google is told you signed in to SAGE.
If you buy hours
Payment is handled entirely by Stripe, which is the merchant of record. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never reach us — we receive only the amount, the currency, the date and the email address on the receipt.
What is not collected
- Audio. It is streamed for transcription and never written to disk on our side.
- Transcripts and answers. The server that generates an answer keeps a count of tokens used and nothing of what they said.
- Your resume or notes. What you paste into SAGE to ground its answers stays on your computer and is sent only as part of the request that answers a question.
- Your session history. Past questions and answers are stored on your own machine, encrypted, and are never uploaded.
- Card numbers. See above — Stripe holds those, not us.
- Advertising or tracking identifiers. There are none, on the site or in the app.
Who else is involved
Running SAGE means using a small number of other companies. Each sees only what it needs:
| Who | What they see |
|---|---|
| OpenAI | Audio and text, in order to transcribe and answer it. Sent under our account, through their API. |
| Stripe | Everything about a payment, including card details we never receive. |
| Resend | Your email address and the sign-in codes and receipts sent to it. |
| Upstash | The stored records described above — balances, receipts, hashed identifiers. |
| Vercel | Hosts the site and the API, and keeps ordinary server logs. |
| Only if you choose to sign in with Google, and only your identity and address. |
Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with anyone for advertising.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, and only after you sign in: it holds your session so the account page knows who you are. It cannot be read by scripts on the page, and it is cleared when you sign out. A second, short-lived cookie exists for ten minutes during a Google sign-in, to check that the sign-in started here.
There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies.
How long things are kept
- Sign-in codes — ten minutes, and they are stored hashed rather than in the clear.
- Trial records — kept, because a trial that is forgotten is a trial that can be taken twice.
- Account records and receipts — for as long as the account exists, and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting rules require the sale to be recorded.
- Server logs — kept by Vercel for a short period, and contain no conversation content.
Your choices
Sign out everywhere. The account page ends every session at once, on this browser and on any computer signed in.
See what is held. Your balance and every receipt are on the account page. For anything else, or for a copy of your record, email us.
Deletion. Email mytresh1984@outlook.com from the address on the account and we will delete it. Records of a completed sale are kept where the law requires, and any unused hours are forfeited on deletion — say so plainly in your message if that is not what you intended.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your data, including access, correction, and objecting to how it is used. The address above reaches a person; there is no separate process to go through.
Children
SAGE is not intended for anyone under 16, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects what is collected or who sees it, the date at the top changes and account holders are told by email. Wording fixes are not announced.
